These Terms of Use ("the Terms") set out the conditions for using Water Coach ("the App"), provided by Iko Nakari ("the Developer"). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 1 (Application)
These Terms apply to all relationships concerning the use of the App. The Developer may establish individual rules, guidelines, or policies for the App as necessary, and these shall form part of these Terms.
Article 2 (Eligibility)
The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. Those under 13 should not use the App without the consent of a parent or guardian.
Article 3 (About the App)
The App is a health-management app designed to support the recording, management, and habit-building of hydration. The App provides the following features.
- Recording water intake
- Setting hydration goals
- HealthKit integration
- Apple Watch integration
- Widget display
- Notifications
- Statistics
Article 4 (HealthKit Integration)
The App integrates with Apple HealthKit only with your permission. The App uses HealthKit data for the following purposes.
- Recording water intake
- Calculating recommended water intake
- Showing statistics
- Improving the user experience
HealthKit data is not used for advertising, marketing, or sale to third parties.
Article 5 (Data Storage)
Data managed by the App is stored in the following locations.
- Your iPhone
- Your Apple Watch
- Your own CloudKit (iCloud)
The Developer does not hold your health data and cannot access your CloudKit data.
Article 6 (Advertising)
The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. Responsibility for the content and display of ads lies with the ad providers. You view and use ads at your own discretion and responsibility.
Article 7 (Analytics Tools)
The App uses the following services to improve the service and its quality.
- Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics
Usage and crash information may be collected through these services. However, HealthKit data and personally identifiable information are not collected. Please see the Privacy Policy for details.
Article 8 (Prohibited Conduct)
When using the App, you must not engage in any of the following.
- Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
- Acts that interfere with the operation of the App
- Intentionally exploiting defects in the App
- Reverse engineering, analysis, or modification
- Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
- Any other act the Developer deems inappropriate
Article 9 (Intellectual Property)
All intellectual property rights related to the App — including copyrights, trademarks, design, and program — belong to the Developer or the rightful owners. You may not use them beyond the scope of private use.
Article 10 (Medical Disclaimer)
The App is designed to support health management and lifestyle improvement. It is not a medical device and does not provide any of the following.
- Medical diagnosis
- Medical advice
- Medical practice
- Treatment
- Any guarantee of disease prevention
Information and recommended values provided by the App are for reference only, and their accuracy, effectiveness, or suitability is not guaranteed. If you have a health problem, please consult a physician or other medical professional.
Article 11 (Changes and Termination of Service)
The Developer may change, add to, suspend, or terminate the App without prior notice to users. The Developer is not liable for any damages arising to users as a result.
Article 12 (Disclaimer)
The Developer makes no warranty regarding the App as to the following.
- That it is free of defects
- That it is always available
- That it produces accurate results
- That it is suitable for a particular purpose
Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Developer is not liable for damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App.
Article 13 (Third-Party Services)
The App may use the following third-party services.
- Apple HealthKit
- CloudKit
- Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Google AdMob
Use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of use and privacy policies.
Article 14 (AI Features)
The App may provide Apple Intelligence or other AI features in the future. If additional data use or integration with third-party services occurs, the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy will be updated.
Article 15 (Changes to the Terms)
The Developer may revise these Terms as necessary. If there are significant changes, we will notify users within the App or through a related website. If you use the App after a change, you are deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
Article 16 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. In the event of a dispute concerning the App, the court having jurisdiction over the Developer's location shall be the exclusive court of first instance.
